feedback

has anyone seen any formatting flaws?
do parts of this layout give you any pause?

are sizes of letters too big or too small,
are there some cut words because they are too tall?

it looks kind of funny on one of my screens,
i'll fix if it happens on others' machines...

well, besides the brokenness that happened today, in case anybody noticed that

how do they do it

While I'm having trouble just writing one verse,
These blogathon members have problems much worse!
Two posts every hour
Would soon make me cower
And weep for a cute private nurse.

yet another change

What can you do when your posts lose their bite,
Your rhymes smell like poo, and your words become trite?

How can you blog when your thoughts will not flow?
Ideas are all fogged, as they come out so slow..

So much confusion, you're in such a plight..
The tired old solution - upgrading the site!

Wednesday Wish

i wish i had a weeble wobble cup
so i could store my dew and 7-up.

i'd then avoid the wasted needless stress,
from spilling stuff and making a big mess.

Summer of fun!

Instead of renting cars or bikes,
Why not try a cow instead??
Just think about the hours of fun!
Meet a friend! She'll keep you fed;

It's just 300 for the summer-
What a bargain! What a treat;
If you've been everywhere already,
Cows could make your life complete.

For those who don't like cow milk though,
Don't despair, you might rejoice -
Instead of seeing Switzerland,
Here for you's another choice!

Depend on others??
I wish I never had to.
Such incompetence.

Tip of the Week

When working with computers, please try not to trip
Over power cords, or your power strip.

Disquiet

you look around the blogs, not knowing what to say;
it's not because of apathy, though that's what you portray;

your thoughts are seeping sadness; your mind's in disarray;
you want to write you're sorry, but it seems a bit cliche;

there's nothing you can do to help your troubled friends' dismay;
you sit and read in silence, not knowing what to say.

Monday Mission

1. When was the last time you were in the hospital as a patient? As a visitor?
2. Have you ever been put under anesthesia or sedation? For what reason? Did it mess with your mind?
3. Have you (or someone close to you) ever had any major surgery? How did it go?
4. How about the emergency room? Have you ever had to be taken there, or had to accompany someone else? What happened?
5. Have you ever donated blood (or other fluids)?
6. Are you an Organ Donor? How do you feel about having your organs being donated to those in need once you die? Have you or someone you know ever been the recipient of donated organs?
7. Do you know any men who refuse, or are too afraid, to go to see a Doctor? Why are so many men like that?

brought to you by promoguy

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip
That started from my little place,
In Valley o' Silicon chips.

in may got a slightly hacking cough,
with cold and fever too
two doctors both said all's okay
just a 3 week flu

a 3 week flu

in june things started getting rough,
my lunch kept getting tossed
if not for a friend just stopping by
who knows what would be lost

who knows what would be lost

the ER docs were lost by this
uncharted strange new "flu"....
neurologists... the interns too
hematologists, and their lab,
a cardio... the RT's and those RN's
there in Seton's CCU.

so this is the tale of the lupus trip,
it lasted for 20 weeks.
had sedation, anesthesia -
seizures caused weird streaks.

at least there were no surgeries,
they did their very best
the only time i had a cut,
was some stiches in the past.

"Donate no blood! no plasma too!
"not a thing," the rheumie said.
this blood donation process, it's primitive as can be.
i guessed organs were also banned,
but that's from no real source.
i now don't avoid most doctors
but for dentists of course.

BONUS: Do you remember when we used to sing?
Today's Comment Question: What action do you take when you get mad at a fellow blogger?

Well, hopefully you sang just now,
When reading this week's mission;
To not do that would make me sad;
It'd be a grave omission;

And then you'd see what happens when
I get mad at a blogger;
As Banner said, you'd not like it,
Just chill and have a lager.

Saturday's Silly Supposition

you're sitting in the park, sitting with your friend,
just minding your own bid'ness, chattin 'bout the trends,
when suddenly you spy, a huge gigantic fly!
it flutters through his lips, while he eats a bunch of chips,
flies through his pie hole, as you think, OH NO!
he doesn't seem to notice, as he's sitting in his lotus,
not knowing what he's doing, he's happily just chewing.

so there you see your friend, do you try to pretend?
do you tell him 'bout the bug that he just chugalugged?

duck and cover

We're safe from the terrorists' planning!
You'll see from this link, if you're scanning.
So now all my readers,
Aren't you glad we have leaders,
Whose babble i'd ne'er dream of panning?

i wish there was no difference
'tween turning left and right.
why is one side easier?
there's no answer in sight.

dishonesty

if people discerned when we had to mourn,
if when we were mad, they knew we weren't glad,
would life be more clear, would more feel our fear,
or growing resentment? we broke their contentment..

i hear that it's best to get all off your chest,
but aren't there some times when hard truth is a crime?
and what about tact by embellishing fact?
to soften the pain, should we try to restrain?

if noone would try to hide some things inside,
it's true that their mind games would go up in flames,
but so would some niceties, as we'd lose all subtlety
as people stopped caring whose feelings they're sparing.

weekend

When you are stuck at work and bored,
With no excitement, just discord
What's there to do, can't take a nap..
Just sit around and blog a rap?
I'll write about the weekend past,
Though 3 long days, they passed so fast
Did not go out much, stayed inside,
From sun and heat i'd run and hide

We made some plans to watch T3
And also trips with family,
But all these schemes, they turned to dust
'cause over weather, we all fussed.
So in the end, i stayed at home,
To watch TV, to read a tome;

I thought that "Se7en" was okay
Though not as great as some would say;
The end of alias - season two
Had better twists, i had no clue;
My book was what kept my attention
Potter's fifth is full of tension;

While i wasn't doing that stuff
I played with bloggie, adding fluff;
So there's my weekend, if you care,
But even if not, it's still there.

the change to greymatter

Ignoring the need to post stuff to be read,
I'll set up a fancy new bloggie instead!

This greymatter blog change will give me some time
To think up some stories and make sure they rhyme;

But in the meantime, i guess we can see
If this is more popular with the gentry.
